Nicole Strickland, MD, FAAD, is a Board Certified Dermatologist at Northstar Dermatology in Fort Worth, Texas. She has a passion for providing comprehensive dermatologic care, with clinical interests in basic and complex medical dermatology, surgical dermatology (including skin cancer detection and prevention), and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Strickland grew up in Harker Heights, Texas, and graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in history. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then completed both her internship in internal medicine and her residency in dermatology at UT Southwestern. In her final year of residency, she served as a chief resident, managing the main teaching clinics at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the Dallas VA Medical Center. During her residency, she also served as a member of the American Academy of Dermatology’s Drug Pricing and Transparency Task Force and volunteered locally at The Agape Clinic, a free dermatology clinic in East Dallas.
She has published multiple articles in journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, and Pediatric Dermatology. Dr. Strickland is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatologic Society, Dallas-Fort Worth Dermatologic Society, and Texas Medical Association.
Outside of the office, she enjoys attending musicals and operas, trying new restaurants, and practicing yoga and barre.
