Prevent Signs of Aging with Botox Injections in Texas

Botox injections reduce and soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily freezing the
muscles that contract during certain facial movements such as smiling, frowning, and laughing. Botox is
one of the safest cosmetic treatments available (FDA approved) and can be performed during a fairly
quick visit with little to no downtime. The Board-Certified Dermatologists at Northstar Dermatology are
experts in facial anatomy and delivering natural-looking results with Botox.

Northstar Dermatology:
Dermatology located in North Richland Hills, TX. Also serving Southlake, Colleyville, Keller, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, and Fort Worth, TX.

Is Botox Safe?

Botox is a botulinum toxin (protein) which is FDA approved to safely and effectively treat moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet (smile lines), and forehead lines. Boasting over 20 years of research, Botox is the most-studied product of its kind and is highly recommended by Board-Certified Dermatologists. Results are natural and subtle when performed by a trained professional.

What Areas Are Treated with Botox?

Treatment areas:

• Forehead

• Glabella (between the brows – “frown lines”)

• Crow’s Feet (lateral eyes).

How Long Do Results Last with Botox?

Botox begins to take effect within two days of treatment with optimal results in 14 days. Results typically last 3-4 months. Results can vary patient to patient, and re-treatment is recommended after four months to maintain results and to prevent lines/wrinkles from deepening.

What To Expect During Botox

Prior to treatment, our cosmetic experts will complete a full-face assessment to discuss your cosmetic concerns and develop a plan to achieve your aesthetic goals. If treatment with Botox is recommended, we can typically perform the treatment that same day. After you are seated in a comfortable position, our specialists will administer Botox injections to the treatment areas. Botox injections use an extremely small needle to minimize any discomfort (many describe the feeling as a “pin-prick” or small pinch). Treatment typically takes about 10-15 minutes. Patients can resume their normal daily activity immediately after treatment.
